Movie Plot Summary: A rich and wealthy couple, Shankarlal and Parvati (Sanjeev Kumar & Raakhee) are appalled at the problems of the world, especially in households, so they decide to try and make things right – one household at a time. They first go the household of alcoholic Rajesh (Rakesh Roshan); his domineering mom (Lalita Pawar); and uneducated wife, Veena (Deepti Naval). Their second task takes them to the household of Vishwanath Gupta(A.K. Hangal); his son, Madhu (Amol Palekar) who has taken to drinking; and his attractive, outgoing, and wealthy wife, Aruna (Sarika). The couple go to work on these families to turn them around and improve and better their relations with each other.

Movie Title: Chor Machaye Shor (1974)

Movie Plot Summary: In the tranquil village of Shantinagar elections are about to take place with the two main opponents being Amritlal and Jamunadas. Jamunadas is bent upon winning this election at any cost and accordingly he sends a group of social workers to mingle with the villagers, gain their sympathy and support, and hence elect him. The social workers, Vijay Sharma, Rekha, Raju Ustad, Bhalua, and Kalua arrive there and go to work immediately with the villagers. They take up an ambitious project of diverting water to this parched region, and do succeed. A thrilled Jamunadas even visits all the villagers in his bare feet and donates money for the villagers’ benefit. What the residents of Shantinagar do not know is that out of the five social workers four are escaped convicts for whom the police has launched a manhunt, and that the convicts may be using Shantinagar as their next target to fleece the villagers of their money and belongings.

Movie Title: Queen for a Day (1951)

Movie Plot Summary: The film was based on the popular daytime Mutual Broadcasting Company radio program that originated from New York on April 30, 1945 as Queen For Today and moved to Hollywood a few months later as Queen For A Day, with Jack Bailey, former vaudeville music man and World’s Fair barker, as the emcee host. The five-times-a-week, thirty minute doses spun over to television and lasted into the 70’s. Bailey, in pre-airing interviews with audience members, would select 3-4 contestants who would pour out their (mostly pitiful) hearts explaining why they deserved to be Queen For A Day, and the audience selected the winner. The movie version was comprised of three short story segments which led some character to the television program.

Movie Title: Taarzan: The Wonder Car (2004)

Movie Plot Summary: Widower Deven Chaudhary lives a middle-class life with his mom, and only child, a son, Raj. He spends considerable time designing and perfecting the perfect car, calling it DC, and registering it’s patent. He also looks after an older model car, handed over to him by his late father, and calls it Tarzan. He meets with Rakesh Kapoor and his partners, who do applaud his design, but are unable to meet with his conditions. Shortly thereafter, Deven does meet Mukund Joshi, who is able to accept Deven’s demands. Deven returns home, tells his mother the good news, leaves home the next day, meets with an accident and dies, leaving his mother to bring up him son, Raj. Years later Raj has grown up, works part-time in a garage, attends college where he meet Nisha and both are in love. Raj gets a nostalgic surprise when he comes across a car wreck that resembles Tarzan. He then borrows money from his grandmother, buys the wreck, not only restores it, but updates it considerably to make it look shiny and new. What Raj does not know that he will soon be implicated in a number of horrendous deaths, all involving his new car, and a Police Inspector named Khurana, who is determined to place him arrest, try him in Court, and ensure that he is hanged.
